Default Hello, new to fords..

Hello everyone, i am new to the site. I am in the process in buying a new car but it seems i cant afford anything i want other then a used 2004 f150. I was wondering if anyone can tell me how they like theres, is it worth buying and are they fun to toy around on. its a 04 2wd...xtl? no seats im guessing the..4.6 l. Its barely been used as about 27k miles onin the back. it and am buying it for 5000 to 8000. Good deal? I never worked on trucks, cars before and was curious if its not to hard to put on headers, exaust, supercharge and such when i get a little board.

Thanks for your time, sorry if this a terrible post and misplaced.

Well I hope you're joking about the no car/truck experience and gonna try and install a SuperCharger

The miles are good and the price isn't bad. Sounds like a good deal if you get it in the lower end of 5-8k

Welcome to the site. I think today with a truck you get more bang for your buck over a car. They ride very nice and have lots of uses. Mine is an 08 SC Lariat and I enjoy driving it. I drove it from central VA to Ohio this year (7.5 hrs.) on a hunting trip one way and only stopped once for gas. It felt like a much shorter trip thanks to Fords overall highway steering feel. As far as modding a truck IMO it's no more difficult than modding a modern car. If you get a truck and spend any time on this site we will sure help you spend money on your truck lol. Good luck.

Welcome to the site, sound's like a nice truck to mess around with. I would go with an exhaust system, cold air intake and a programmer with custom tunes. Header's and a supercharger belong on a Mustang not on a heavy F-150. Too much money to spend to only get down in the 13 to 14 sec. 1/4 mile if your lucky. Larger tires and getting it leveled would be next in my book. Just my 2 cent's and hope I didn't ruffle any feather's!

Me too! That would suck with "no seats". Guess you get a few milk crates. J/K

He probably meant no seats in the back...regular cab. It's in there, just kinda jumbled.
