Default Problem With 2006 f150 Power Window

Hi guys, I finally Signed up after years of visiting and just searching this website.

I finally found a problem I couldn't solve just by browsing.

I've seen a lot of issues with the window regulators on this website. Last Tuesday I was rolling my window down and accidentally hit up down really quick while the window had about a quarter of the way to finish. Immediately after it was stuck in that position.
-I've pulled the switches off and checked the contacts. Everything seemed good.
-I tested the power that the regulator motor was getting and everything was great there.

PS. While messing with it a couple of times. I've gotten the window to roll all the way down. When I went to roll it back up it would get stuck in the same position. This is making me think there is a jam somewhere instead of it being the motor or the regulator. I've put my hand in places to see if i could figure out what was causing this but no luck. Has anyone else had this issue?

One day mine would only go down 3/4 of the way. Took the door panel off and looked in the door and found the steel wires that lift and lower the window had started to fray and got jammed on its self at the motor. New motor regulator fixed the prob only $90 and ez install.

Thanks for the help, I didn't noticed anything wrong with the wire. But I just ended up going to Discount Autoparts and picking up a new regulator and motor for about $75 and putting that one in. It was an easy replacement and now it works fine!

Hey glad you got it fixed. Even though its getting cold I would go nuts if I couldn't get my windows down.
