make sure ur coolant is full and check and see if ur truck has a valve in the heater hose, it could be stuck shut. a man could just remove it

Default Same Problem

I had the same problem while my truck was still under warranty. I called the dealership and they said it was probably a stuck t-stat. I never had them look at it because it was fine the next day. Are there any threads on replacing the sensors, t-stat, and ECC contoller? I am not real good with cars by instict, but if there are instructions I can normally follow them.

Thanks!

I stopped by the dealership today and they checked my coolant, but it was fine. The guy who checked it said it could possibly be the heater core too. But they were right packed so they couldn't check anything else. Ugggh. I'm tired of driving around in the cold. Lol

^^ Ok, some people don't look at location. I posted once that I was having a problem while driving 100 and a bunch of people were like "ZoMG!! Wheye werrr yOO DrIvinG SooOO FasT!!!11!!!!ONE!!". lol. Just thought I would clear it up. But ya, -40 is super cold. But I don't mind it. I've been working the past few days in -20 and I just go out in my coveralls and a t-shirt underneath (thats for no longer than half an hour though).

Back to my problem however. I got off work early today and was going to take my truck to the dealer and leave it there until they could look at it. But as I was about to pull into the parking lot, I noticed my cab was kinda warm, so I turned up the fan and hot air was blowing.... So I now have hot air, but I'm not sure how long its going to last. And taking it to the dealership now would be pointless because they won't have anything to look for. Does that possibly provide insight as to what it might be?
