Default Heat control issues

My '06 F150 seems to be having some issues with the heat controls.
Lately when I turn the heat on the ac button lights up and I have to hit it to turn if off. It doesnt happen every time but often enough to notice it.

Also there seems to be a bit of heat coming out of the center vents when I have it set on floor only. That just happened today but it happened once or twice last year and has been fine ever since.

My setup is similar to this:

What seems to be the cause of the issues Im having?

when the AC light comes on with the heat, do you have the defrost turned on?

no, just the floor or center vent heat.
That light shouldnt come on with the defroster either though. It never did before.

everytime you turn on the defrost the AC light should come on, somehow or another it use the AC to take humidity out of the air so it will defrost your windows better

Maybe it does and Ive never paid attention to it. I dont really use the defroster that much.
But now the ac is coming on with the regular heater.

I've had the vent problem for a while. It used to be that no matter where the vent selector was positioned most of the air came from the dash vents. Just recently it started to work better but not 100%.. I still get a little air from the dash vents no matter where the seoector is set.

never had an issue with the a/c button but had other minor strange dash control issued that went away on their own............. seems like each truck has it's own "Ghost in the Machine"

According to your picture...you have it selceted to MAX A/C...the light should come on...don't matter where the red/blue dial is set to...click one position up and see what happens. I too get a very little flow from the front vents when in floor or windshild defrost mode...I think this is normal...its done it since new.

No AC light but I do have a similar flow issue...

I recently developed the issue of no heat at all from the floor vents..I am assuming a loose vacum line or something....gonna take it in next week
