Im always a day late and a dollar short. Im contemplating the AFE or Volant intake....could there really be that much of a difference between them and the AF1?

If I had to choose between the two, which I might end up doing, I would go with the AFE because the bottom opening looks a little better to me and people have said it is very similar to the S&B that people love. Either one is about the same. For the price and opening on the bottom I would go with the AFE.
Now I need to decide if I want this intake of Bi-xenon HIDS. Thoughts? In reality I should grab the intake bc it's soo cheap but idk what to do.

The thing with the 3.5" is that you will have to have a tune in order to run your truck at all. With the AFE you can go back to stock settings when you go to the dealer but with the 3.5" you have to put to stock intake back on or just go in with your tunes loaded. Performance you will see some gains but IMO they wouldn't be worth the hassle.

Ya I plan on getting a tune in the future, But I just bought the AFE! Its really hard to pass up a deal like that. Its basically $200 off the regualr price! and Half the price of the AF1. I think I can do without the extra half inch worth of diameter for a deal like that If u dont buy one before I get mine, I will let u know what I think I should be able to run this intake on my truck until I get a tune without any problems shouldnt I?

Man Tide I think u should jump on the wagon and pick one of those AFEs up before they are all bought up. I can't wait to get it. I ordered right before my post that said I ordered it and like an hour later I got an email with tracking info through UPS. They got it shipped same day! $20 for shipping still puts u at over $200 dollars of off the regular price alone! I wish the top of the box was clear like the picture shows though, u only have the choice of black or brushed silver for the lid...oh well
