headers
Hey everyone, I am thinking of putting headers on my 04 5.4 f150. I have been looking around at different brands. Im looking for long tube headers and the only brand i have come up with are pacesetters. I have a friend that has them on his 2002 avalache and he loves em. Im not lookin on spending a furtune. Also i have found other brands like dynomax etc. but its a universal kit, i know for some kits like exhust are ok but im not sure for headers. So if any one has some advice i would a appreciate it.

do not buy universal headers.....I am running Pacesetter long tube headers on my bronco and like them...but the F150 is running JBA shorties and they are great....depending on how much warranty you have left should dictate the header style...that and emmissions regulations...long tubes will delete the cats

hope your just looking for sound because thats pretty much all your going to get, with new cats youll feelit then? al the exhaust shops say that new cats make more of a difference/ if you go forth though you need to make shure you have the thicker gaskets for the notorious header leak. some or most headers if have life time warrenty wont warrenty the headersif you dont use their gaskets. maybe check into new manifold bolts im not sure if your year of truck has the known bolt breakage

lets add this to the list of things we agree on. i hate when people claim that long tubes are the only way to go because they add 30+ hp and shorties add almost nothing. thats BULL SH*T!!
