Default Head unit

Looking to get one of those fancy radios with Navigation and back up camera and all that other stuff. I don't know anything about this stuff but I like nice stuff. Wondering what is the best brand? I was looking at Jensen.

Ive always preferred Pioneer over other brands, the sound quality has always been top notch in the last 2 ive had.

This is the one Im going to get:

I have this one. Only complaint is that for some reason when I plug my phone in it will display the song name, but when the song changes that name doesn't. Not a bad headunit for how inexpensive it is.
I bought mine from sonicelectronix.com because they throw in free install kits.

Pioneer is good. Kenwood make several units that are popular. Jenson, not so much. If you check out Crutchfield, it's easy to compare different units and read reviews.

Thanks for the help. This seems like it is going to get confusing quick. One of the features of these units is the backup camera. Anyone set this up and put the camera in the tailgate handle like factory? I don't want to use the license plate camera it just seems cheap to me.

I also went with a Pioneer, model # AVH-X2600BT. I also installed a BOSS CAM22 in the bumper just to the left of the license plate. I love the head-unit and the reverse camera works flawless. As stated, go to Crutchfield.com or sonicelectronix.com and read the reviews.

On my previous back up camera, I had my bumper lip slightly rolled to fit the camera right above my trailer hitch. It was out of the way, but unfortunately I about tore my rear bumper off fourwheeling and pinched my camera. lol

Head over to the stereo and audio forum of this site. There's most likely good threads there that can help in your decision making.

This is my setup...
http://www.crutchfield.com/S-QRbhOuO...-DNX772BH.html
http://tailgatecamera.com/products/f...back-up-camera

I love the head unit. Once I bought a Kenwood, I've never thought about going to another brand. The soud quality is great and the features are wonderful.

The backup camera was the only one at the time that I could find that was in the handle and had the backup lines actually on the camera (my previous HU didn't have the option to add lines). I wish I could have found a better quality camera though. After installing the Kenwood CMOS-210 cameras in my wife's car, this one looks like a 90's flip phone camera. If I wasn't worried about someone stealing a $150-$300 (depending on model) camera from my bumper I would mount it elsewhere (don't feel like molding it in to the handle).
