I saw this a while back, but I never heard if whoever posted it actually tried it. Do we have the same part on our trucks? It seems as though a part# search for F-150 vs Mustang would answer that question. I don't have a "dead space" issue on my truck anyway.

i think you can do it electronically...
the throttle trick worked for me.

throttle trick turn on key just before start and push gas down and let up slowly turn key off and repeat a total of 3 times

i guess it relearns the limits or the range of action of the throttle pedal

i thought it was push down slowly and release as fast as possible.?

Push slowly, allow to release normally.

Do a search; it's been posted (proceedure) in the past here.

I am courious as to if our F150's have the same pedal assembly though. I guess I'll have to step outside and check my '05 to see.
