I have a 2005 F150 5.4 and it has a hard starting problems. I took it to the dealer 5 times already. The first time they reprogramed the PCM, and that worked for about a week before it started to act up again. The second time they replaced the coil pack and spark plug on the #5 cylinder that worked for a period of time and starting acting up again. The third time they replace the injector on the #5 cylinder after about a month it acted up again. The forth time I took it in they told me that there was nothing wrong with it. The fifth time I had to get it towed in because it wouldn't start and it had a burning smell in the truck and they told me nothing was wrong with the truck. Has anyone else had these problems and what did they fix?

Haven't had the same issues as you've had (yet). For the first time though yesterday my truck had a hard time starting though. I turned the key, truck hesitated to start and then died and I got a check guages indicator on my panel. Turned the key again and she started right up. Hopefully not an indicator of things to come.

I just got a letter From Ford saying they have extended my warranty on my Fuel injectors for 11 years or 120,000 Miles but it is for an 05' they say injectors may stick in open or closed position, they did say that warranty would also transfer to another owner,

Letter was Dated December 2007, contact your local dealer for more information.

Says it is for F150, Superduty, Expedition and Navigator Vehicles with 5.4L 3V Motors.
