My truck has a split about half way up the back. I popped off the top half and there were just tabs holding it on. I just want the top half chrome.

If the top comes off then I can only guess that the chrome should fit on it the same way. The mirrors that came on my 05 were one piece even though they looked like the were two.

I have the '05 Lariat and I just went to a truck customization place and they just popped the covers on. The package just came with the top half i didnt even know there was the option to get the bottom half

i used to work at a truck accessory shop im pretty sure that adhesive promoter they are talking about is just denatured alcohol. but when we put these chrome mirrors, door handles, etc. we always added alot of extra 3m double sided tape. if not they would be right back at the shop in 6 months falling off and we would be fixing them at our cost. this really applies for anything sent from the manufacturer.....if it comes with it add more double sided tape!
