The manifolds are known to crack easily on these trucks as well as blowing out gaskets.

As for H or X pipe, H pipe has been known to produce more low end tourque and X pipe increases top end at WOT.

If you are strictly going for sound stick with stock headers, 2.5" pipe and H pipe. Probably won't see too much power improvement. Maybe a little get up and go off the line and throttle response passing someone.

Also what are you going to do about the O2 sensors running true duals?

Just my 2cents.
bbrad1775 thanks for the feedback. Exactly what I was looking for. I wasn't for sure if this was a 2 into 1 then the O2 sensors, or like my GMC and Chevy that have independent cats and O2 sensors on each side. If it in fact is a Y with the sensors after the Y then I will leave it 1 single pipe all the way back and simply swap out the muffler for the Borla ATAK. I haven't looked into what is involved with sensors only running on 1 side.

Oh' okay, thanks for the info. I was actually talking about "mufflers", but thanks for the heads up. She only has 28K miles on her so I would like to think that I'm a ways off from cracked manifolds.

It does have an O2 after the Y before the cat but you can have it reprogrammed by a shop to run duals if you really want to. I personally am going to eliminate the last CAT and run a SI/DO MagnaFlow which is also a free flow muffler. I love the sound of MagnaFlow and you can't beat the price.

BTW noce score on the low milage F150. What year is it?

I asked you about Headers...those are exhaust manifolds...the passenger side manifold is notorious for cracking or our 5.4 3V and just to save you head ache I was wondering if you planned on headers.. and I have read about them cracking at 36K miles ... mine is cracked at 60K .. Good luck with your new exhaust system.
