Why not do it yourself and save the labor costs?

There's no requirement for valve timing advancement during idle; this may be why unplugging it did not set a code. Under a load, I'd suspect your results will be different.

^so what's up with that. I'm replacing the vct and seal and phasers heck with it. The noise I'm hearing I think it's not chain being lose I'm hearing detonation from extreme advance timing

Could be leaking chain tensioner leaving a little slap in the chain. Mine just broke a guide on passenger side

You've discounted the IWE's, but I think you need to reconsider...When I first purchased my '05. I had detonation, or so I thought. I've owned turbo charged and supercharged vehicles, so I know the sound- card in spokes, marbles in can, like your video. I started with the fuel filter, cleaned the TB and MAF, then from there went to replacing the detonation sensors, cleaning the intake manifold and replacing the gaskets. Changed the spark plugs to the colder PZT 1F, per ford TSB 06-3-3 on spark knock. Oh, I also did all new timing components, phasers, oil pump (needed this anyway). I also ran premium fuel, ran cleaners thru to knock out carbon. I basically did everything to eliminate detonation, to no avail. When I installed my edge, I started to get a clue. I would hear the detonation, but the ecm was not dropping spark. The only way to stop it was to let off some throttle, or shift out of OD going up hills. Then one day I had to use the 4wd going up these same hills, and bam!!! No more spark knock. I learned a lesson that day. I swore up and down it was detonation, but it was indeed the IWE's trying to engage. The three little check valves in the vacuum line were bad, filled with rust sucked up from an IWE. I replaced the checks, flushed the vacuum lines, and installed new IWE's. No more problems with the truck and 'detonation'. Do yourself a favor man, and revisit the IWE's

A timing chain usually won't slap under acceleration with torque on it. Usually only on a decel, at the brief point where throttle is let off.
