So after a day of running the canned tune, I switched back to no tune simply because I have an intake and am waiting on the custom tune. I really just wanted to see how the truck felt with some tune other than stock

Jacked... I'm getting my used Evo in about a week. I'll be converting it right off the bat, the night I get it.

So I just got my 87 performance tune last night downloaded on my Griffin programmer and let me tell you there is a big difference. The throttle response is a lot more touchy and responsive and overall just has way more giddyup and pick up. I highly recommend power-hungry performance for any tune needs they did a good job and my truck is completely stock so I am pretty impressed. One thing that I am seeing though is that it will sometimes stay in RPM range and hunt for the next gear or whatever you call it and sit there and fluctuate back-and-forth. what is this caused by and how can I fix it?

Also is there anyway to save your edge settings like your color and your parameters every single time you return it to stock and plug it into the computer? When I did the update on mine it changed my color my parameters and probably my record settings and everything I thought I could save all this but I guess not I have to go back and reset everything to the way I like it again.

I'm glad to hear it made that much of a difference I ordered mine about a month ago still waiting on it to come in. How long did it take for yours?

First off, glad you finally got it and I would have been very surprised if you were disappointed.

Secondly, what do you mean by it "fluctuate back-and-forth."? Are you saying that its jumping from one gear to the next and back again?

Third, if I am understanding what you mean correctly by the Gryphon holding in gear longer(Higher RPM Range) before shifting at least how it was explained to me the Gryphon is holding your truck in the "powerband" longer. If you dont' like it, you can adjust it to your liking or call PHP and maybe they will adjust the Tune for you. I know when I first got mine it was having a hard time with 4th gear and Overdrive. Bill said it is a very common problem and adjusted my tunes and haven't had a bit of problem since.

What I mean is when I'm going at a slow speed like 25 it will hunt you can say. You can feel the truck jump back and forth like it wants to shift but it's not because it's not quite at the shifting point. I'm not sure about overdrive and 4th gear. I have been having to much fun putting it to the floor and having it literally jump lol.
