Has anyone heard of this or have it. It seems to be an edge tweeked to accept custom tunes. This idea seems great to me since i like the on dash display and features of the edge. I wonder how it stacks up against the X3.

I have heard good things about Power hungry performance (Gryphon tuner) I too am interested in it as I would like to have the display and features of the edge but the advantage of custom tunes. Most say to go with SCT tuner tuned by either Troyer or VMP...but are they really better when the Gryphon is custom tuned as well? or is it just brand loyalty.....?

i like mine...it is a re-badged Edge and alot more reliable. some of the early Edge's had probs that seem to be ironed out on the newer ones. It comes with the 3 canned tunes that are the same as the Edge's ones. But can be customed tuned for your truck/mods. I have the 87 perf and the 87 towing tunes. I asked for the annoying throttle lag to be gone and now the gas pedal is sensitive...i like it. power is up and stays in OD on the hills better. Haven't tried the towing tune yet. Contact Bill or Corey Cohron at www.powerhungryperformance.com with any questions.

^^Exactly. Bill has a great reputation and has a large following. Their customer service also seems outstanding, The Gryphon is an Edge that he has modified to accept the custom tunes. He can take your edge and change it as well.

I am actually wating for them to come to Cali early 09 and do a live tuning event and see how their Gryphon stacks up against my Troyer and VMP sct tunes.

I can't decide if I wont a Gryphon or Troyer tunes, assuming I just don't get my rockers and bumpers done in Line-x.
