Default gryphon download on edge.....mpg....holy $#it

Sooo...04 screw, 2wd 5.4, 3" level 35's on 20's. STOCK gears (for another cpl weeks) stock intake, only mod i have is the edge evo with the gryphon update and a flowmaster weld in. Before the edge i was getting 10 mpg...horrible. Blaming it on large wheels tires and stock gears, and knowing im due for plugs. Got the edge and it went to around 11.5 on level 2...woopty doo, also wasnt impressed too much with the shift points and to me, irratic power band of the factory edge tunes. Finally installed the gryphon in it...and holy ****. Ive had it for a week now and could not be happier. The constant power band, shift points are on key, smooth idle and makes the truck feel completly different, and lets not mention that the 465 miles ive driven this week....on one tank, ive gotten 18.1 mpg, probably 60/40 off highway to highway miles. I cannot beleive how effeciant this truck runs now....and i still am due for new plugs and installing my e fan and gears in the next couple weeks. Again, 464.8 miles, i used 25.6 gallons of fuel.....cant complain about that.

Wow... it really made that much difference?? I just got my Edge Evolution a couple weeks ago. Maybe I need to go ahead and convert it to a gryphon.

I heard it was good but honestly never thought it would sync with my truck that well. Very impressed. And its free and easy to do, search for the how to thread on here and do it. Of you look through these recent searches, its not that far back.

Did you correct the speedometer/odemeter for the larger tire size when they went on to correct for different size ?

When I converted to Gryphon it did not recognize my gears like it did when it was an Edge. So I HAD to install a custom level 2 tune and adjust it. Just a heads up.
