Default Grinding and Binding

Out of the blue yesterday, my F150 started making a very loud grinding noise from the rear while going down the highway. I could feel the resistance in the truck, like the brakes were being applied, but I had not applied the brakes. I slowed to pull over on the side and as the truck reached about 20mph, the noise and resistance stopped. Later in the day, the noise and resistance came back, and as before, when I slowed the noise went away and the binding ceased. I was not in a turn nor was I applying the brakes when this occurred, however Im think it must be the brakes. Any thoughts?
