Grind Noise When Accelerating From Stop

Grind Noise When Accelerating From Stop
I'll try to be as descriptive as I can but I'll warn you all that I am a total novice. I have an '04 FX4 Supercrew 4x4 with 92,000 on it. A few months ago I started noticing a subtle grind/heavy vibration coming from what sounds like the front drivers side wheel or steering column. The grind has gotten somewhat worse now and I'd like to get it taken care of.
The noise only occurs when accelerating from a stop. It happens quickly and then is done. When it is cold, it will happen on acceleration and there will be a slight vibration sound when I stop at the end of the street but it goes away when the truck heats up. I've read forums on the IWE solenoid and I don't believe that is the issue because the noise doesn't go away when the truck is in 4-high as others have described. I've checked all fluids and they are topped off. The brakes are in great condition as well. I would appreciate any help out there. I bought this truck about 8 months ago and this is the only issue I've had.
Thank you in advance for any help you may be able to provide.
