I replaced my grille emblem on my 07 because of the notorious bubbling of the clear coat. now im wondering if i decide to change to a billet grille, can i put the new emblem from the grille on the tailgate? or are they diffferent sizes? Id like to replace the tailgate one as well and would like to know if i could save a lil money. thanks

They are the same size on my 08. I took the rear one off and put it up front. I bought an emblem that lights up when you hit the brakes or turn on the lights. The only thing is you will need some 3M tape to put it on the rear. ( no bolts lol)

I got the emblem from autozone.

They're the same size on my 07 as well. I actually ordered one off e-bay that was called a "rear emblem". It was $10 cheaper than the one's call "front" emblem. Go figure.

you should see a panel on the tailgate with bolts alll around. id assume you remove that panel which gives you access to the back of the emblem

That would be a waste of time. The emblem is held on with adhesive. Use a hair dryer to help soften it up and run some fishing line or dental floss behind it to remove it.

Thanks but one question behind the emblem will there be the color of paint on my truck?
