Default Grille Question...

I have a 2008 white XLT super crew and i was wondering if the chrome piece in the grille is a "snap-in" insert type deal or if it was all one piece. I was thinking of taking it out and just having the outer chrome edge with the black honeycomb, or whatever it is, and then the emblem in the center. Anyone have any knowledge on this? I can post a pic of my truck if i need to, to help you get an idea of what I'm talking about.. Thx guys.

If you are speaking if the grill surround, yes it is a two piece from the grill insert, honeycomb, h-bar, billet, etc. it's not too difficult to separate the two, but be careful to not break the plastic tabs. A heat gun can be used to make it easier to disassemble. You have to take the whole assembly off the truck first to begin.
