About 15 years ago my grandpa had a wreck when a guy had a heart attack and pulled straight in front of my grandpa while he was running 65mph pulling a travel trailer and because of the grill guard on the front of the truck the air bag did not deploy, and the motor didn not come thru the front seat allowing him to control the truck from going into the ditch and possibly savied his life. The truck he was driving was totaled but my grandpa came out with only bruses.(true story) since then every vehicle my family has owned has had a brush guard on our vehicles. Who knows if a brush guard will ever protect from such a thing from happening again but why chance it? This is just my opinion though
