Default Granatelli Ignition Wire Set

Has anyone with a 4.6L used the MPG/Plus Granatelli spark plug wire set? What plugs did you use with it and is it worth the money? Has anyone used the E3 plugs or a plug with a similar design?

I'm pretty sure you've got coil on plugs, in which case you do not need aftermarket plug wires.

Stick with OEM (motorcraft) plugs unless your using forced induction or nitrous.

Are the 4.6L plugs different than the 5.4L as far as the two piece construction? It does have the COPs and the Granatelli wire harness has an enhanced COP. Or at least that is what they advertise. Just trying to get educated so all input is appreciated.

Yeah, your plugs aren't two piece. I wouldn't worry about changing the COPs, your money will be spent better elsewhere.

Thanks for the input. So your suggestion is to just use the OEM Motorcraft plugs and call it good? And since they are one piece I can do it myself. I just got the truck and it has about 60K on it so I thought it was probably time to start thinking about this type of thing.

You should be good with the plugs unless your experiencing a COP related issue like a cylinder missing.
