The Spectre pipe isn't really something you can crush (nor has it crushed, it's made for duct work used in automobile applications) with just an intake amount of vacuum.
It's wire wound around a hard polymer. I've been running it for almost five months now and I'm pretty much WOT 50% of my driving, because I'm an ahole and do a lot of high speed merging onto the outerbelt.
I did say that "some people use". I think some have used plastic dryer style flexible hose or something.
I have the gotts mod, Edge converted to a Gryphon, true dual exhaust and it runs much better than when I bought it stock (sounds better too). I dont need to justify anything to anyone.
