Just was reading through liftlaws.com and it says only commercial vehicles are required to have mudflaps/fenders in NYS. Since my vehicle is not registered commercial being that it is only a half-ton pick-up, I am all set on the flares.

Tiny them dark! Just pay the fine. I've got 5 on top of 20 all the way around and 30 on windshield. Love it. South Carolina 27% is legal limit.

Okay so New York is pissing me off more and more lately, I have 20% tints on my front windows (I had them match the factory tint on my rear windows) and have had no issues from police for 3 years! Now today, I was going down the interstate....DOING THE SPEED LIMIT....and a trooper went to pass me and decided he needed to pull me over and slap me with a tint ticket. He used the tint meter and it read around 16%.......It was a traffic infraction, and I know it won't cost that much...but you think I should pay it and keep them? Or just be done with tints? I know that you need at least 70% light transmission in NYS but it's a little ridiculous....I know I can probably get the ticket dropped if I go to court and show them pictures of the tint removed, but frankly, I like the way it looks on my black and grey SCAB FX4.....any suggestions? If I go legal the most I could do is 70%.....which looks like garbage in my opinion.

Just out of pure curiosity....what are the violations? front tint, tow hitch, tinted tails? I don't know the fourth....you have me stumped...And I'm in no way trying to be disrespectful, I am thankful for everything our law enforcers do, and I understand that he pulled me over at his own discretion even though I wasn't doing anything wrong. I wasn't smart with him or nasty in any way. He just tested my window, went back to his car and wrote me a ticket. It was kinda weird now that I think about it. And I always thought that tint tickets were fix-it tickets. Guess I was wrong... :-(
