37 for a loaded FX4??? i would def. keep shopping. i got my 07 FX4 screw almost loaded for 10 grand cheaper including all the fees. the 08 models are out i am sure dealers are willing to work with you to sell the 07s for allot less than that.

I picked up my 04' (new body style) for 19.5K... After tax and licensing fees it came out to 22K out the door. It's a fully loaded FX4 with leather and power seats. Mileage was around 38K. The real reason I had to jump on this deal was the warrenty it came with. Any vehicle that rolls of the Subaru lot, even if it's a used Ford, comes with a Lifetime drivetrain warrenty. That won me over.... Now I gotta fight the "need" to lift my truck. That would void my warrenty....

I found my 05' Scab with 16,000 miles and got it for about 23K out the door with a trade in (2000 Escort).

I don't wanna sound like a jerk, but that seems pretty high. Around here a new XLT usually stickers for about 31 - 32......on a "high" day....

We (my family) know a guy that buys all of the trade ins and used vehicles from most of the dealers in North Texas and he found that one for us. We paid 100 bucks over what he did and that is just becuase he needed some money for the transport of the truck.

Sweet deal, though.

I guess it pays to have "friends."

That and buying it in Texas helps. Trucks are cheaper here.

If you are some body that keeps cars for 10 years or more, I'd say go ahead and buy a new 07 or 08. If you trade every 3 or four years, you would be better off buying used or waitng a little while longer for the 09s. They will probably start selling them in October or November and they will have a new body style. There are a lot of websites you can go to that will give you great tips on buying new or used. Most of them will tell you how to buy new at 5% over dealer cost.

i bought my 06 in november of 06 which IMO was the best time that ford ever gave the best rebates..they were giving about 7500 off the sticker price, plus i got it via the X plan, and another coupon for 750 off...my trucks sticker was 34,950, and i got it for 24,150...i honestly feel though, that for 45000 for a harley davidson saleen supercharged you are getting a mighty fine deal, because i went and test drove one about a month ago, and the sticker was 52000 and they were adding a bs 3500 "rare vehicle charge" so they were asking about 55500 for the truck...if you can afford the 45000 for that car, push them down to 43000 and take it...btw, that truck is pretty fast too...as far as the FX4, when i was getting my truck, FX4's were about 43000 for a SCrew and thats why i ended up getting a SCab Lariat (no complaints at all btw) but i think thats a pretty good deal..i would still try to push them down more on the prices because think about it...were already in 2008...they need to/should get rid of those trucks asap...also, try finding the dealers web site, usually they have better prices to "lure you in" and once you go in w/a print out on the same truck, with a lower price, they have to honor it...my buddy went to get an 07 f350 king ranch...dealer wanted 45500 for it...sticker was 49000 and i found it on their website for 39000 (it was apparently the last 07 superduty kingranch in the states back in june...when he went in with the print out, they were really pissed, but they had to honor the price...so try that out, might work for you...and if they push you around, get up n go to another dealer...
