Default Got some new rims, and got some new problems

I just got some 20x12 rockstars with a -44 offset for my truck and now it rubs so bad I can't even turn all the way! I have 35x12.50 Mudd Grapplers but I have to go down a tire size I think..I had 20x8.5 Rockstars on before with 2" wheel spacers and had no problems with turning. I have a 6" pro comp lift on my truck, and has anybody tried this before or had problems??

I personally didn't have a problem like this but that is alot wider rim than before.. Seems that would explain the issue.. But I am not to sure..

What was the offset of the old wheels? With those -44 offset wheels you have the centerline of the wheel 3 1/2" further out from the pivot point of the steering. This makes the "throw" of the wheel forward and back much greater. I'd suspect your old wheels were a +6 to 0 offset and kept the center of the wheel 1 1/2" closer to the pivot point of the steering. Thus keeping your tires from "swinging" forward and back into the corner of the fender.

Cheers,
Pete

3.5" wider rim, less the 2" spacer seems that your backspacing is 1.5" off... idk.

Have you tried the spacer with the 12" wheels, it'd look rough but see if it corrects the issue.

Ya I'm not sure about the offset of the old rims but I think it was like almost stock, but that makes sense what your saying. And I think putting my wheel spacers back on would make things worse. It only rubs on the fender flare closest to you, so I need to lift it a little more in the front or get smaller tires for sure.

Haha, I can't picture my truck with a deep lip rim, thats why I wanted to get the x12 rockstars and nobody has chrome ones around here. And I love the look of a fat tire sticking out the side of your truck but I just need smaller tires, think I'm going with 305/55 Nitto Trail Grapplers
