Default Got Rearended

Got hit on the highway last week. Not totalled, but not going to be cheap either.

Looks like that Neon is going to be totaled... How did the lower shock mount get bent? Did the car go under your truck?

From the tire mark going up the hood I would think so. Lol. Still doesn't look like that much damage to your truck......compared to the Mopar shoebox

Yeah, she was probably still doing around 40mph when she hit me. We were cruising at 55 when a truck a couple cars in front stopped to turn left. Everyone had to get on their brakes hard and she was following too close.

She went under the tire, bet the shock mount, and also forced the bed into the cab just hard enough to damage the paint. Estimate is around $3500 for all repairs.

Ouch! It's not even slick out yet! Was she texting too? I hate it when people follow too close...

Don't know. The body shop guy said that if I had enough time to stop my truck, she should have had plenty of time to stop her little car lol.

On the bright side, she didn't tear up your tire.....at least not from the photo's. And thosze little neons stop on a dime. I had one. Fun little cars for what they are, but yeah, I wouldn't want to wreck in one.

3500 doesn't seem too bad provided whe didn't ruin your rear frame. Did it break the spring mounts or tweak them as well when she went under?

Frame is fine, it was just the rear passenger side mount that got bent up. Axle got moved up a little also, but nothing else was damaged.
