Default Got rear ended, now truck seems "off"

So my truck got smacked in the rear by a 2008 Buick sedan. It was launched into me by the little civic behind it going so fast it wadded up the civic and sent the Buick into my trucks rear bumper.
Luckily ( I guess) I had the stinger in the hitch.
Now the truck seems like it is shifting harder into 2nd and 3rd, and it feels "splashy" going around corners.
The auto body place is making time to throw it up on their frame alignment machine, but I dont know how long it will take.
Any one else had a rear ender that caused bigger issues than a dinged bumper?

Is it possible that you are being more sensitive to the feel of things since the accident, but are simply now noticing things that it was always doing? I know I've had that happen to me a few times where after something happens I get paranoid and then think I see/feel changes.

Like above you may just be really looking into things that were always there to begin with but you never noticed it till you actually look for it. Either way id get it looked over and if anything is found Id still turn it in to the other guys insurance

If it pushed the rear axle forward at all or knocked out of alignment, that might explain the harder shifts with the driveshaft stressed more into the tranny and strange cornering.

Thinking the same thing when I was reading the original post. U-joints and driveshaft might have been affected some. Just a thought.

Good stuff to know. I will have the autobody place look in to everything.
You bring up a good poin tthat I may just be paying "extra" attention to certain things now, but better safe than expensively sorry...

One time my uncle had a wreck similar to yours in his 97. And the tranny was doing harder shifts than went out later on. I guess cause it pushed it up more and fudged it up.
