I have a Superchips, 1950 Cortex I believe. Couldn't tell you a good tune, as I simply use the base 87 octane tune. Works well enough for me, not looking for anything aggressive. Oh I have the 5.4L FFV though.

i saw they have a performance tune that takes only 93 octane. i wondering how good that would be for my truck running 35's b/c it lost a sh*tload of power. did you notice a nice increase with just the 87 octane tune?

I noticed better throttle response and the motor ran much smoother with the 87 octane setting. Smoother as the RPM's and revving didn't feel as restrictive as stock settings. Also, the trans seems to shift quite a bit better.

So give it a try, learn how it feels, then try runnin a tank or two on 93 and see how it performs. I'm always afraid of runnin to high of a setting and causing premature failure.
