Default Good Radar Detector Brands/Models???

Got pulled over the other day and slapped with a ten over speeding ticket. And to make it worse, the Highway Patrol was a freakin jack *** and started testing my window tint, and told me I needed mud flaps and fender flares cuz my tires stick out like half and inch past the wheel wells. Anyway, I think it's time for a good radar detector. I don't drive like a crazy person and don't intend to. Just would like to avoid those situations the best I can. What brands and models does everyone recommend? I've heard cheaper one's don't work worth crap? Any feedback would be nice. Thanks!

Hands down the best radar detector out there is the Valentine One. It's pricey(around $300 bucks) but the poeple who have it says it's worth every penny.

dont waste your times or money on a radar detector....just drive the speed limit....and trust me i know....using the hold feature, radar can leave the instrument, bounce off your truck, and get a reading back for the officer to read and have locked before your detector even makes a chirp....same with laser, and no radar detecter can pick up vascar....doesnt matter if your spend 50 bucks on one or 500 bucks on one....just slow down....its ultimatley cheaper...

Great product!!

If they are using laser - you can't beat it, but for the majority of other bands out there, you still can get great protection.
