So a search on plugs for the 5.4.......there are literally dozens of threads explaining the issues with the plugs and how to remove them.

They make a specific tool now to remove the 2004-2008 spark plugs.. Ford wouldn't do a recall on the spark plug issue.. stupid not to with how many people were breaking there's off ..

I can certainly agree with the issue that the 5.4's had plug problems. I think however that this would have been a huge legal issue as to who was to blame: Ford for putting them into their engines, or the plug manufacturer. Either way, the consumer looses while this would have been battled out in the courts as to who would pick up the tab.

Yea it would basically be a pointing battle.. But when I first got my f150 2 years back it was a bad issue, now its something that they seemed to have fixed (only by making that tool) which the consumer has to pay for.. oh well I still got the same year because I loved my 2007 FX4 150..

That would have been up there with the most expensive recalls of all time, the fix that Ford implemented in late 2007 included changing to different heads.

Just use Peanut Butter and a blow torche. Works every time! But be sure to use Jiff... cuz choosy moms choose Jiff.

P.S. Don't do this. lmao

By the way, when visiting the spark plug sticky, thank GATORB8 for his fine efforts. He put that sticky together, and among many others, continued to update it to keep it current with all the changes to this topic.

Kudos to all that keep that thread going.
