Default Good Front 8.8 IFS carriers for traction?

Im about to get my front end regeared to match my rear 4.56s. While its in the shop and they have it apart I would like to lose the Oem open carrier and go with something more aggressive while also keeping my wallet happy.lol.
I was thinkin about a used Mustang GT traction loc or posi. Would something like that benefit me or not be much better than an open front end? I thought about a mini-spool but I figured it would cause more harm than good.lol..Anyways I would like to hear any of your budget friendly ideas on how to upgrade my front end.

Eaton true track is a limited slip. Doesn't wear out like the trac locks do. Ill be putting two of them in my truck when the time comes. There is quite a few people on here with them that love them.

Yeah you cant beat Eaton. That's what I would get but that's just to much coin to drop into a truck with over 213k miles. Right now I'm leaning on getting a traction-lok out of a mustang unless someone can persuade me otherwise.

I have ran many different limited slips/lockers in the front 8.8. Trac-lok, True-trac, and an e-locker. If money is an issue a Trac-lok would be better than the open for sure.I understand the wear issue but in the front end with vacuum hubs you will not be putting many miles on it.

Oh ok, so say I buy an used trac-lok. How many miles are they good for? Because I don't want one that's already worn out.

if you can find one cheap, just rebuild it.

I can find several less than a $100 with around 100k miles. A rebuild kit is $70, but I have no idea how to rebuild one.
