Is this a good deal??
Hey everybody,
So I found a truck and I want your opinions on if it's a good deal or not!
It's a black 2007 F150 FX4 SuperCrew with 76000 miles. It has:
- black leather with center console
- power everything
- power drivers seat
- sunroof
- double din Pioneer with sub wiring
- 33 inch Nitto Terras with 20 inch Rockstars
- tinted windows
- 1 inch rear shackle lift and 1.5 inch front leveling kit
- custom exhaust
The guy wants $17000 for it...Is it a good deal??

I wouldn't say so no. Seems pretty high for me... I just paid $10,500 for a nice low mile 07 XLT with everything you listed minus leather. Installed my own lift and put rims and tires on it I already had and did the exhaust and I'm still not close to 17000.

If I were to give him an offer, what should it be?

Its high, but really that over the top. I would say offer him $15k and see what happens. If its clean has had plugs done, and had all the up to date maintenance seems like a good starting point.

PRICE REDUCED 2008 Ford F150 Supercab 4X4 Priced Reduced $12900

Just so you can compare. I know different regions bring very different prices. As you can see this one is in Boise Idaho and just a extended cab.
But to your original question if say 15k is fair. Guy has to understand that you really never get back the full amount for mods.

I bought my 06 in 08 with 16k miles for 26k (I was a lot younger at the time when I presented 9k cash) but anyways I think the OP is right, 15k offer or less. I know now how to talk ppl down but do you ?

Sometimes, you can't.
Ask him if he's flexible on his price and if he's not, move on. You could buy a stock truck and do exactly what's been done to his for that price most likely. I know I did and I got a 6 inch suspension, new wheels and tires. I'm still quite a bit less in then he is.

My 08 SCAB FX4 has 68K miles and a clean retail of over $20K not including all the extras... so I think it's in the ballpark.
