Default floor mats wont stay still

just bought weathertech floormats for the front of my 04.. on the driver side my hook that holds the floormat in place came off.. how do i get my floor mats to stay in one place? ones i get in the truck i always reposition or something and i guess when i do my feel push the floor mats and they slide up.. the weathertech is a hard material so i dont want to bend them for good.. any info would be appreciated need to get this fixed now

First question: did you buy the "less expensive" mats or the more expensive ones? The more expensive ones should stay in place without the hook since they're desidned to fit the entire contour of the truck floor. The less expensive ones are garbage and no different than the mats you can get from Autozone.

Some options: fix the hook, replace the hook, try double sided tape, or (if they are the cheaper mats) get the better expensive ones. Another option is bite the bullet and get a different brand mat (Nifty makes very nice mats, cheaper than the weathertech and I've had no problems).

Good luck.

i got the digital fit ones.. * more expensive * and they fit snug until my feet push em forward then it starts to warp the custom cut mold..

yeah velcro does seem like the ideal choice to keep from messing up the floor

I'm having the same problem with the WeatherTech DigitialFits, but in the REAR of my SCREW -- seats are pushed up and blankets on the floors for my dogs -- but the floor mat gets pushed around while I'm driving with the dogs back there, and it is starting to get malformed.

I'm going to try VELCRO....

velcro should be a legitimate answer, just make sure you don't ruin your factory carpet(if you care).
