Default Going to 3" exhaust, need tune?

My stock muffler has basically rotted out and has a real annoying rattle. Am looking to replace cat back with something better than OEM, but nothing too aggressive. I do alot of long distance highway driving and dont want a loud drone.

I am currently looking at the MBRP S5200 SISO 3". Everything is stock on the truck (only a k&n drop in) would i need to do anything to accomodate for the change from stock 2.5" to 3"? (I.e. Do i need to retune)

Thanks for the help

With a cat back there is no need for a tune. I have the MBRP SIDO 3 inch cat back and love the sound. Nice and throaty with very minimal drone.

You go with stainless or aluminum? Trying to decide if the extra$ for the stainless is really needed

No, you dont need a tune just for a catback. Tune make it much more fun to drive but not required for what you are looking to do.

Depending on what the kit costs, and if you're doing the work yourself, you may want to call a couple local muffler/exhaust shops. They can custom bend you one pretty cheap and you can supply whatever aftermarket muffler you want.
