Default Gibson Headers (pics)

These baby's look nice!

These are the GB218S Stainless steel version.

The Gibson name tag is a nice touch.

The top bolt holes are all notched, which should make installation a lot easier because you can put those studs in first to hold the gaskets, and then slide the header up into place.

Hard to get a good picture of it, but inside the exhaust ports is perfectly smooth. No burrs or anything.

I can't wait to get these installed!

I wonder how much gain/sound difference you'll see from these. Let us know!

I'm glad to hear that. the Gibson site says they are supposed to give torque and power gains in the lower to mid rpm range, which is great for trucks, but I wouldn't expect much, only so much you can get without a significant design change (I.e. long tubes).

Got these babies installed. Actually, ended up having a shop install them for me. Started to dig into it and the bolts were just seized too much (my truck has 152,000 miles on it). Cost me $800 or so for them to do the install. They charge around $500 if things go smooth, and then some kind of dollar amount for each bolt that snaps. On my truck we had 4 bolts snap.

Can't say these are much louder than the stock manifolds. I had an exhuast leak on my stock manifolds, so that might have made the stockers seem louder. Truck is super quiet now.

Torque feels real good, but since I installed these at the same time I overhauled all the timing components and phasers, I can't really tell if the headers or fixing the phasers really helped bring back some grunt.

Regardless, they do look sexy in there, and for what I bought them for, I'm happy.

Now I need to get a cat-back to open up that sound a bit.... so quiet right now....
