spark problems -intermittent miss
I have come to the conclusion that putting never seize on the plug threads was not a good idea . It did not dawn on me that it could effect the high voltage path to the engine block . So I will clean it off and use carb cleaner on the spark hole to get the build up out of there closing in on the tip . It was so easy when treating the tips to put some on the threads but now I think I was wrong . I did use the nickel antiseize on the tips as ford suggested .
I may put dialectric grease on the spring ends as well I had put it on the boots with a quitip. Just trying to find the source of the intermittent after changing plugs , injectors, coils and some connectors . At 148k now . Don't like this 5.4 engine system .

Dielectric grease goes on the end of the boots...not on the spring for contact with the plug and Coil.. grease on the inside of the boot does nothing...

You mean other than helping prevent water intrusion, arcing of the plug to ground, and the boot from bonding to the ceramic of the plug? Dielectric grease, which is an insulator does not go on any metal parts that are intended to conduct electricity.
