I picked up a set of black housing headlights today off craigslist. Sprayed the crap out of them while on his truck to check for leaks (trying to avoid condensation issues) and all looked good. Took them out and swapped mine in. Now Im thinking about going with a 6k hid kit. There's a local business that sells a 35w kit for $80 installed and a 50w kit installed for $100. Both kits come with a 1 year warranty on the ballasts and 1 year on bulbs. Have talked to others that have this kit (not sure on name) and they like them. They all have 8k or 8.5k kits but I just want bright white bulbs. This sound like a fair deal? Anything to look for? Are the kits worth it or more of a hassle than there worth? (I will post new pics soon. Just picked up a A.R.E cap for $300 off craigslist too. Just need to paint it. I wont be sporting it all the time, just need a decent tent and transport for the dog)

Get 35watt 4300k HID's from vvme.com. 80 bucks or so shipped and install takes like 25 mins. To me the 6000k are still too blue...I love mine.

i have 6k in both fog and headlight housings, love it, if i could do it again, id buy 4300 dual beams

So I have Harley headlamps, w/ the crappy regular bulb that appears to be HID (ya know, the $30 pair). Anyways, just ordered a set of BI-Xenon (thats Hi & Lo HID) from a vendor on this site (Jon_To). 8k Hi/Lo + shipping = $110. Oh, did I mention he said it is backed by a 3 (THREE) YEAR WARRANTY? Had me sold w/ just that! Set should be here by this weekend. I'll get pics of before after. I'd like to see everyone elses' pics of their kits too. FYI, I went w/ 8k cuz I wanted that hue of blue (trucks blue and its my fav color).

Did you get them installed? I'm getting the 6000k kit from him and plan on blacking out my headlights this summer.
