gear selector stuck
My gear shift will not move through the gears. It started out not going into park so I started in Neutral. By the time I drove it a few blocks I could not shift it out of drive. The gear selector works it is just not engaging the transmission.

Not familiar with how your model year is set up - but suggest to take a look at the shift linkage, particularly where it ties into the transmission. Mine has a rod clamp to allow adjustments - wondering if this hasn't slipped or otherwise failed.
Have a friend wiggle the gear selector while you look for where the movements aren't being translated between the selector and the transmission.

found the problem. Apparently one of the mounts for the cable was not reattached and the result was the cable sitting right on the exhaust manifold. Melted the whole thing. $72 at ford
