Sure wish there was a drain on the diff, so you didn't have to pull the cover off every time since it makes it more of a pain to do. I just did this today. Since I replaced my axle and pinion seals I had to pull the cover anyway, but I'd like not to just for lube changes.

Install a fumoto valve.

dont know how thick gear oil would flow through it

I would use Amsoil severe gear 75w140. Amsoil will out preform all other oils. 100 % Synthetic oil. Good luck Amsoilman.

so heres where i am now. Changed the fluid, the old stuff came out pretty good looking, just a little on the dark side. no burnt smell or anything. 4 qts of mobil 1 75 140 and a half bottle of ford fm. drove it for a day and the difference was huge but it would still jutter a little around corners when it was hot so i added the other half. now its pretty much gone but still does it occasionally. should i add a little more, or are the clutches warn out already?

Add more. Doing so completely fixed my shutter.
