i've noticed some hesitation from the engine which worries me. it will happen as i'm driving down the road most commonly when accelerating though.
::scenario::
i'll be driving... shift from first to second and half way through, or so, it'll feel as though the power drops out of the engine for a second. somewhat of a hesitation like the engine didn't fire correctly. none of this is done at high speed/acceleration. i would like to just think it's bad gas but i bought the good stuff haha.

i'm having to wait till thursday to fill my truck up again but i'll let you guys know what happens then. anyone have anything else to say i'll listen for sure!!

thanks for all the help so far guys

Did you ever take a look at the tail pipe to see if they had stuffed something into to. This would cause low gas mileage and a loss of power just if it were a plugged cat

i took the truck to houston this morning and back and it drove like a champ. i'm getting awesome gas mileage (for a truck) again and i'm happy. i really don't know what could have gone wrong since i couldn't pull any codes, the shop could pull no codes (but they could definitely charge me for tryin), and it seems to be in tip top shape again... i think it was just a crazy set of events that coincidentally started and happened around some kids doing "something" to/around my truck. thanks for all the input guys! glad to know i can turn to the forums!!
