Smile 2008/4.6/4x4/2400 miles

Am getting16.5 to 19 overall and this should improve once I get a few more miles on it.
My 05 and 07 were 5.4,but 4.6 does everything I want it to do and the whole drivetrain is the smooooooooothest I've ever had!! LMT!

Default milage

I bought my truck used from Ford Dealer, they put 20" rims on it and did not reset the speedometer. I was getting about 11-12. I added the superchip progrm for 87 economy and reset the speedo, i now get 14-15. I was told the 01 F-150 4x4 w/5.4l could get up to 18. I think that would require drafting. LOL

There is no need to reset anything when you mount larger tires. As of several years ago they take the speed off of the transmission and not the wheels. That means the speedometer should read correctly regardless of tire size because the speed is determined by how many turns the transmission makes.

And, I get 13mpg around town, city driving, and 18mpg on the highway if I keep her under 65. I get 15mpg when I am hauling my 500lb ATV, but the weight and the air drag only cost me 3mpg's.
