I usually average around 13-15 in town driving. Quite a bit of stop and go around here....going back and forth to work, etc.

nope its correct i drive city a lot. about 80 miles a week on the highway. traffic aint the greatest here u can be sitting in traffic waiting for your turn for a light forever during rush hour. i sat as long as 20 minutes. 20 minutes with the truck running at idle start to cut into your mileage quick.

Since you just bought it an have no clue when the fuel filter was changed last, you should change it and be done with it. It takes no more than 5 minutes if you by the filter flare tool. I bought a WIX filter and the little plastic flare tool from O-reileys for $12. They have a steel flare tool but it doesn't fit in the filter ends. The filter is is on the frame rail under the driver door.
I had been using the mobil conventional oil but I switched back to the Ford
syntheticblend. I have an 04 lariat and average about 360-380 a tank.
