FX4 sticker

hey i have an 04 fx4 and was wondering if anyone has removed pinstripe or the FX4 sticker or the f150 badge on the tail gate?? if so any suggestions besides a hair dryer? thanks

I have an '06 Lariat that had the "4X4" stickers where your FX4 decals are. My truck is black so it heats up pretty hot in the sun.

All I did was park it outside on a sunny day and peel them off slowly.

Then I turned it around in the driveway, waited 2 hrs. and did the other side...

Whats wrong with the hair dryer? Is it possible that theres a clear coat painted on top of the decal??

just pull it off, i pulled mine off on a cloudy day but it was still hot out so you might need to heat them up.

also i don't think i've ever seen our body style truck with the pin stripe

Use Kleen-Strip's Aircraft Decal & Adheasive Remover. Part # EAD-908. It's great stuff! It also is the most fantastic pine sap remover I have ever found! Grab the better part of the sap drip with a paper towel and spray a shot of the remover on another paper towel and wipe the sap off

If you have painted pin stripes you want to remove spray them with Easy-Off oven cleaner. You'll have to work it in with several aplications but it does work.

I'v pulled all the stickers off my old durango and the tank banges off various motorcycles and on stickers I start them with a hair drier and my fingernail..no sharp edge tools..once started thay come right off..but peal slowly..and donn't use a heat gun..just a hair dryer..Then I soak a rag with some goo gone and actually taped it over the residual glue..came back in 15 mins and wipped it off.On badges I heat the badge and use waxed dental floss between the badge and body to get them off and then do the same goo gone procedure to remove residual glue.

the tailgate emblem has holes behind it. as for the decals, an eraser wheel makes life easy.

so the tailgate "f150" isnt 3m?

jbhill 10-31-2009 03:09 PM

it is, but there are 2 line upholes and 1 bigger hole behind it. the emblem has 2 lineup pins on it, so be careful if you use fishing line or whatever.
