I know the lariats, king ranch and fx4 luxury packages have the mpg display in the info center. I have just the basic fx4, is there anyway to program the info center to give me mpg average and all that good stuff?

I am also wondering about this....i know if you take the blank plug out where the buttons would be for info/reset/odometer the harness and plug is there. If you get the button panel and plug it in will you be able to scroll through that information in the message center?

Do you have the full LCD on the cluster? If so, just order a switch (~$35 on tascaparts) and give it a try. The dealer may be able to flash the cluster to give you the option.

what do you mean by full lcd display? mine right now as it is displays, ambient air temp, compass direction, and the odometer reading.

I mean size wise. My lariat has a two line LCD readout, probably like 13 characters per line. Looks like this:

mine also has the two line display. The first line has the direction being traveled and air temp outside, and the second line has the odometer reading.
