Default FX2 valence on Lariat?

I'm thinking of addng a lower front valence from a FX2 on my Lariat...

Will it fit? I've seen some posts that suggest it will but some say all the bolt holes don't line up and "trimming" could be required. Anyone done this??

Does the FX2 valence accomodate tow hooks? Again some posts suggest I'd hve to dremmel out the tow hook area as it is closed on the valence?

Put this on my XLT SCrew and love it. Got mine from the same place the above thread did, greenleaf on eBay. They have great stuff for our trucks guys, check em out!

Thanks. I'm familiar with Greeleaf. I bought a set of power adjustable pedals from them and installed em in my Lariat. you're right, great stuff and good prices.

Thanks for the link Paul - that helps a lot. Still can't tell if it accomodates tow hooks - I've ben told you have to dremmel out that space... I'm gonna PM the OP from the link and see f he can tell me. Also good for bargaining, the Greenlieaf piece is cheaper all around than the seller I'm talking to. Time to play Let's Make a Deal!

tow hooks will not work with it. what year do you have? its a direct swap for the late 06-08 bumpers, but the earlier(04-early 06) bumpers its not quite a direct fit, some trimming and modification will be needed.

I've got an 06 Lariat with a build date of 9/05 - I have the chrome bumper with round fogs. The OP of the linked thread that was posted said he felt you could dremmel out the area for the hooks?

I've read on other threads that the hooks cannot be left on with the FX2 valence. BUT! im sure theres a way to do if you really really want to cut into the expensive valence you just purchased.

That's the point. I want to be certain before I buy - if it doesn't work with the hooks then I'll look for a valence that will. I'd prefer not to cut anything but I'd like to find a certain answer one way or the other.

Thanks
