Default 2008 F150 FX2 front left door wire harness assembly

I purchased a new wire harness assembly for the front left door, because I have 6 wires that require repair. I know that splicing them is the most popular choice of repair. I would like to replace the whole harness, but can't find where the boss end of the harness pigtail plugs in. How difficult is it to actually replace the wire assembly, and where can I locate the port for the boss end of the pigtail. Please help!

Hi Glass, just got your post. If you want to put in a new harness expect some work. The head liner has to come down, rear door needs to come apart if you have a crew cab. plus anything that is an accessory. they all plug into this harness. But if you buy the harness you should see where you need to plug in and unplug. I don't think there is a short harness only one long one. Feeding the wires I think should be straight forward. But make sure what the one you buy is the same as what you are replacing or you will be really be screwed. Because it is unlikely you will get the old one back in. Having said all this it is a challenge. That is why I spiced mine. It is not a tough job but time consuming. Use solder and splice in a piece. Seal off with heat shrink. Find a warm place and set 10 to 12 hours aside either way you choose.
