Sounds to me like your battery is on its way out. While doing the install, did you have the door(s) open? While the dome lights do eventually time out and go out, they will put a drain on a battery that is weak.
I had my battery go out on my a few weeks ago in my 2007; when I removed it, it was an Interstate Battery with a date code of 2004! That made it over 11 years old! Must have been put in by the dealer I bought the truck from, as the truck is a 2007, and I'm the second owner according to the carfax report.

So I have. 2002 f150 Harley Davison supercharger 5.4. Trition v8 & fuse box relay 2 won’t stop clicking what should I do ?
