Default Fuel sensor or something else ?

I've been out of town for several weeks and my girlfriend is driving my 06 w/ 125k miles on it. While driving today she told me she cranked it up and drove for 10 minutes and he truck shut off so she pulled over and cranked it right back up. This happened 2 more times within 7-10 mins. Has anyone experienced this. Let me say I've changed the FPDM close to a year ago and I'm pretty sure it something to do with the fuel system and rather than bring it in id rather get some insight from some of y'all. Thanks

Changed the fuel filter lately? Fuel pump acting up. Air filter, foam around air filter. Have you ever cleaned the throttle body or mass air flow sensor. All of these are cheap and easy except the fuel pump of course and if you have'nt done them at 125k then it would'nt hurt. You might stumble on the fix. Is it throwing any codes?

My daughters car was doing the exact same thing. Turned out to be the crank position sensor. I've never had that problem on an F150, but anything's possible. Is the check engine light on. If it is, maybe she could get someplace like Autozone to read the codes. They would do it for free.

No check engine but my GF has filled up 3 times and it happens after she drives off with a full tank. I've cleaned everything else about 8 months ago plus new fuel filter

could she be filling it too much and clogging the vent?

It could be this part that recirculates the gas vapors

Does it eventually stop doing it?, or does it just keep doing it all day and she has to just keep restarting it? Are you saying it only does it with a full tank? Im kind of stumped. Id hate to say fuel pump acting up but maybe. I did mine for a seperate issue and if you have to tackle it its not that bad. I put some 2x4s under the bed rails and pivoted the bed sideways a little so I could get my body in there standing up. Did'nt want to lower my tank. Just be careful with the fittings. But Im getting way ahead. It could be something else I hope like fuel shutoff switch acting up or something.

How does she fill it? Does she fill it to the OMG level, i.e. letting the gas pump click like four times, or does she let the pump click once and stop there? She might be overfilling it.

And how does it die? Does it just shut off like you would shut it off yourself, normally? Or does it sputter and slowly die off?
