Default fuel saver and power tips please anyone

i have a 07 f150 sxt the 4.6L v8. stock was getting 15mpg then i added a k&n cold air, and a banks catback bolt on exaust. that bumped me up to 17-18. but then i put 33x12.5 on 20"rims and im all the way down to 12mpg. horrable for a little single cab small block v8. i thot about adding a throttle body spacer, but have heard mixed things about it. also its warrantied for another 30,000 miles so i cant chip it. what can i do to increase fuel mileage and hp/torque to this thing? anyone have any tricks up their sleave?

Throttlebody spacers are nothing more than metal paper weights. Not sure when you say chip if you actual mean "chip" (like a jet chip or some ebay chip) but those are junk also. Programmers on the other hand will benefit in fuel saving or power and they don't void a warranty unless they can prove that the programmer was at fault. Not sure what you expected to happen when you put bigger tires and wheels on the truck. If you want the big tires and better mileage then regear for it. How do you know the MPG is right? Did you calibrate the speedo for bigger ties? It's a truck, if you want something that gets good gas mileage then buy a toyota.

Be careful if you are still under warrantee looking at programmers. I read somewhere that dealerships might actually be able to tell if you have had a programmer hooked up. And if you click around on your site, you will find plenty of examples of dealerships screwing people. They might cover it if the programmer didn’t cause it, but if they know you had a programmer hooked up, I would put good money on them blaming that and refusing to warrantee the work. Just my $.02…

if your not wanting to do a programmer about the only thing in can think of that would help is new gears, not sure what ratio would be best for your truck, i assume that your truck probably has 3.55 now, maybe goin up to 3.73 maybe even up to 4.10

Not trying to be an ***, but you won't really get much better. If you are so worried about MPGs than why did you put on 33s on 20" wheels? Just my two cents.

The only thing I can suggest is something to correct your speedo/regearing. Otherwise, thats about it.

You can't chip or program when your trucks under warranty?
