It was cracked almost in half. Pretty nasty. It was throwing a code. Ordered new one from Amazon.

Where was it located? I have a 2004 F250 and it is NOT over the spare tire.

Do f250s have them? I imagine you would get better help on a Superduty forum.

Don't know if anyone else had my issue. Mine is a 2008 E350 van and was a no-start condition due to fuel pressure. While troubleshooting, I noticed my test light was dimmer than normal when grounded to the frame or bumper. When I grounded to the axle or body, the light was normal brightness. I had a very corroded ground strap that ran between the body and frame to provide the frame with ground from the body. I replaced it and solved the problem. The FPDM could not do its job properly because its ground wire is connected to the frame and had a high resistance path to ground through the bad strap. When replacing the strap, I went from the frame to the starter lug where the negative battery cable connects rather than to the body like the original design. I also slathered silicone grease all over the new ground strap to help prevent it from corroding and repeating the problem. I could have easily misdiagnosed this and wasted big $ on a fuel pump and FPDM replacement.

do 2008 F150's have this same strap somewhere? if it does, and this is an issue that is occuring, would you be able to notice it on other systems? (like cabin lights being dim, or anything?)

*knock on wood* my truck hasnt had a no-start in a while, but it still happened 1-2 times after i replaced my FPDM last spring

My body ground strap was fine so body components worked fine. The frame is isolated from the body and engine by rubber mounts, so the only reliable ground path for the frame is through the ground strap. My frame strap connected to the body and was very corroded.

Is this UNDER the spare meaning you need to drop the spare to inspect it? Or is it visible by just crawling under the truck and looking around?
